Visible Planets
Mercury: March 1-14, shortly after sunset near the western horizon.
Venus: Throughout March, from sunset until 9pm look to the west. Often called the "Evening Star" due to its bright appearance.
Mars: Throughout March, from sunset-5am. Starts in the east moves across the sky and sets in the west.
Jupiter: Throughout March, sunset-2am. Rises in the east and sets in the west. Bright and prominent in the night sky.
Saturn: Throughout March, sunset-7pm look towards the western horizon.
Celestial Events
March 4-5: Thick waxing crescent moon close to Jupiter, the star Albebaran and the Pleiades star cluster. Sunset to midnight in the western sky. Very picturesque.
Constellations
Orion: Early evenings through March until late evening. Look to the west, home to the bright star Aldebaran & Pleiades cluster.
Gemini: Early evenings through March until late evening. Look to the south, recognizable by its two bright stars Castor & Pollux.
Leo: Late evenings throughout the night. Look towards the east, it moves across the night sky heading south, feature the bright star Regulus.
